Real Practice Management

real practice management

The National Society of Certified HealthCare Business Consultants set the benchmark for true practice management. Castlerock´s Practice Consultants are certified by the NSCHBC and perform the following services;

  • Establishing or Renovating Practice Governance
  • For a fixed cost, we will work with you and if you want your advisors to create your shareholders or partnership agreements, employee contracts, deferred compensation (buy out) agreements, compensation formulas and others.

  • Merger
  • Bigger may be better. We examine the reasons to merger, evaluate the practices and present the positives and negatives to the owners. If the decision is to merge, we work with you to create the governance documents and integrate the staff and operations.

  • Practice Operations Audit
  • For the practice that does not run efficiently or profitably, but whose owners know it should, we provide solutions. We interview all staff, document the data and patient flow process, produce a proficiency report and implement corrective actions.

  • Special Projects
  • Does it make sense to expand and offer more services? Do you and your colleagues want to open a "Center"? We have experience in creating neurovascular, foot and ankle, heart and vascular plus other single and multidisciplinary centers.

Castlerock´s coding specialists are certified by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and are fully Certified Coding Specialists in Part "A" and Part "B" services. Likewise our data technology specialists are fully certified. Our specialists provide the following services:

  • Chart Audits
  • When you need to know if your documentation, billing and records retention process is accurate and compliant, we will do the audit work and report back to you in a timely fashion. Typically, we break down either small audits (30 charts) or larger audits (200+ charts) to gather our findings. If the report shows weaknesses, we can also implement positive change.

  • The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act or HITECH for short is an additional layer of mandatory compliance for computerized healthcare providers. Essentially, HITECH adds to the compliance burdens of HIPAA. Most providers don´t even know that they are out of compliance right now and if the OIG walked into their facility, they could be fined thousands of dollars. We provide HITECH assessment reporting that includes corrective actions.
